I had the amazing opportunity to visit La Dame de Pic at the Four Seasons Hotel and it was exquisite. Service was delightful, food was incredibly tasty and the company was of course, enjoyable. We began with Gin & Tonics, as you do... mine was a Japanese floral number which I definitely recommend.
The first dish was a crab dish, made with mayonnaise on a blackcurrant & elderflower jelly.
This Scottish salmon marinated in honey was so tender, almost melting in my mouth.
Next came the roasted pigeon, with a beetroot jus and decorated with edible flowers. It was cooked to absolute perfection.
Next came the deserts:
Comparing the texture of this one to a cloud, I savoured every mouthful. I believe this was made with condensed milk and it was a perfect desert and not too heavy.
Beautiful meringues:
This evening was a good one, I fully recommend it. Intricate details make every dish simply perfect. Different wines accompanied every dish and by the time I finished eating, I was rather giddy and quite full. If ever you are in the area, please check out the Four Seasons.
It is definitely a meal to remember!
